About

Lunar Hub started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of weird little mobile games nobody else was talking about. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down in one place instead of losing the recommendations in message history. That place became this site.

We're not tied to any publisher or store. Nobody hands us a release calendar. We find games the same way you do — browsing, following word of mouth, poking at charts late at night — and then we actually sit with them for a while before saying anything.

Choosing what to cover is simple but strict. A game has to come from a small or independent team, it has to run on a normal phone without eating your battery alive, and it has to give us a reason to open it twice. If something is just a reskin of a template, it doesn't make the cut no matter how polished the icon looks.

Everything you read here is written by people who played the thing. We note what frustrated us as honestly as what we loved, because a review that only praises isn't much help when you're deciding where your free hour goes.

Mikael Sørensen — Mikael has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still gets genuinely excited about a clever control scheme. He handles most of the long-form writing and keeps the team honest about hype.
